This addition/ remodel to a Sausalito residence provides spectacular views of the Headlands, Golden Gate Bridge and Angel Island. The new space provides the owners an open, flexible space perfect for multiple hobbies as well as hosting parties large and small, and provides occasional house guests a comfortable private bedroom. The sculptural wood built-in features a sliding partition, a Murphy bed, and an ensuite bathroom. A glass elevator from the ground floor allows everyone to take in the view on their way up and eases accessibility for the owners who plan to age in place. 

Lejarraga Studio paid careful attention to matching materials and styles, so that the addition fits seamlessly with the existing building while capturing the 270 degree view. The expansion of the garage yields space for bike parking, battery back-up for solar panels, and the elevator.
